今年暑假，我怀着激动的心情，一口气读完了意大利作家亚米契斯的日记小说《爱的教育》，深深的被小说中一个个平凡而不平凡的人物的思想品质而感动。这本小说没有任何豪言壮语，也没有任何古板的说教，却通过平实的描写，使人感受到一种最根本的情感¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬—爱。
通过十岁四年级小学生安利柯的眼光观察所在班级、同学、同学的家长以及周围的社会环境，把师生之爱、父子之爱、同学之爱、对祖国的爱都写的感人至深，那些充满了人间温情的小故事往往催人泪下，“每月故事”里讲述那些朋友的友谊和宁肯牺牲自己的高贵品格，则感动和激励着一代又一代的读者。
使我印象最深的是《少年爱国者》、《万里寻母》这两章情节。这两个故事中，主人公为了维护祖国的尊严而扔掉了别人的钱；为了找到他母亲，走了近上千里路。
我对父母的爱、对教师的爱、对同学的爱是我做人的根本，也是其他素质的基础。这本书细腻生动地刻画了各种高贵品质———爱国、善良、侠义、英勇、宽大、无私，令人深受感动。
在我认为，素质教育其实就是爱的教育，是对祖国、父母、师长、朋友的真挚的爱，爱是教育的根本。爱的教育有诗人般细腻优美的风度与品格。把我们带到社会中去，娓娓而谈，循循善诱。它讲述了许多感人的故事，这深刻的哲理，使学生学到了很多课堂上学不到的东西。
我们从小就应该以安利柯及他的伙伴做榜样，树立积极向上的思想。爱祖国、爱集体、爱父母、爱同学，使自己具有为祖国建设服务的本领，将来也像安利柯一样，要为祖国增添光彩。
